Rental Agreement

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm (8:30am for rental returns)
Saturday - 10:00am - 3:00pm
Sunday - Closed

Cash or Credit Card Deposit Required
A deposit equal to the replacement cost of the equipment is required; A Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover card or cash may be used for this deposit. This agreement authorizes pictureline to use the credit card on file for any loss or damage to the equipment rented. A valid drivers license or state issued ID required.

All Rentals Are Due Between 9:00am - 9:30am (10:00am - 10:30am on Saturdays)
Open Monday - Friday at 8:30am for early rental dropoff only
All prices are "Per Day". Each rental period runs from 9:30am until 9:30am* on the days agreed upon. A one week rental is daily rate times four. A one day fee is minimum for any piece of rented equipment. One day rental charge may be used towards purchase of comparable unit within two weeks of rental. Free early pick up between 5:00 and 6:00 the night before.
* Saturday rental period runs from 10:30 am on saturday until 9:30am on the days agreed upon.

Insurance is Not Provided
Renter of equipment accepts full liability for any loss or cost of repair. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the renter. pictureline will charge the renter at the full day rate until reimbursed for the replacement cost. In case of repair, renter pays full day rate until equipment is fully repaired. There will be a replacement charge applied for missing or broken lamps, or excessive burnouts. (Always bring back burnt lamps)

Renter Responsibilities
All rental equipment is checked by our staff to insure proper working conditions prior to leaving the premises. pictureline must be notified immediately in the case of equipment difficulties at (801) 364-1200. Failure to do so may result in a full rental charge. pictureline assumes no liability for equipment failure and/or availability. The renter is responsible for the proper care and operation of the equipment, as well as the return of all included accessories.

Early Pickups
Customers are welcome to pickup rental equipment between 5:00 and 6:00 the day before their rental begins for free. Because it is possible that someone else may have the item already reserved, we can not guarantee early pickup availability. If you absolutely need an item in the morning before the store opens, we recommend renting the item for an additional day. Because rental availability can change frequently, we recommend calling in advance to verify early pickup availability.

Early pickups are not available on Saturday afternoon. If you need an item for early on Monday morning, you must rent it for Saturday as well.

Late Returns
Equipment returned after the due time often creates problems for the next renter(s). Therefore, a $10 late fee will be assessed once the equipment is 1/2 hour late. If it is one or more hours late, additional day(s) will be charged at the full day rate. Rentals returned more than one day late will be billed at 1.5x the daily rate. Please contact pictureline immediately at (801) 364-1200 if you expect a late return.

A $25 cleaning fee will be charged for equipment that is returned dirty. If excessive cleaning is required, additional fees may be assessed at the discretion of pictureline rental employees. Please do not remove filters from lenses. If removed, additional cleaning fee will apply.

Pictureline uses Breakthrough Photography X2 UV filters to protect our lenses. The X2 UV filter has critically sharp AGC glass made in Japan and features state-of-the-art, 8-layer, multi-resistant coatings which help to eliminate flaring, ghosting and low contrast.
